What do you think the Mariners team needs are heading into the off season?

Ichro isn't even doing that this season. They have Smoak, Figgins who blows. Great pitching, but will need some offensive pieces. It will be hard to get a big free agent to go there.

You know what a lot of people forget, Cliff Lee and King Felix where actually together at one point. Imagine Pineda now with those two. DAMN!

Pineda was traded in the off-season. Smoak is back at 1B, after hiding thumb problems during last Season. The Coach asked for two years to develop Smoak, so this is the first year he has to pay his own way. They sent Pineda to the Yanks for a catcher named Montero. Montero will be one of the youngest DH only, guys around; although it would seem to me that it wouldn't be hard for him to be slotted in for Jaso. It wouldn't surprise me to see Jaso released unless Montero hits 400 in the Cactus League.

They need a good pitching staff, maybe a staff that can hold a lead.. maybe?

They need much more then a good pitching staff.. but if they can get that they make actually be able to do something. I am always watching Mariners taking the lead in like the 7th or 8th, but then the pitchers go out there and blow it!

Pineda is out and George isn't pitching well

Against Texas, Flat Hat George is throwing below 80 on everything he throws.
