Mariners Sign Owens

.083/.267/.083. That's what Owens is batting this season. It's a small sample size, but his career line (.262/.319/.305) and age (28) point to a very, very low reward here.

He's got some speed. He had 32 steals in 2007, but he hasn't proven to be much of a hitter.
Owens will head to Triple A Tacoma on Monday.
