Andres Torres: A Giant Again
Quote:
The San Francisco Giants picked up an old friend, today. After being traded to the New York Mets in 2011, Andres Torress cleared his physical earlier today, reuniting him with his old team.
It's official; the Giants are bringing back the wheels. Torres signed a 1-year deal worth $2-million with the Giants, and was cleared to go after finishing his physical just hours ago.
In 2011, Torres and Angel Pagan swapped teams, moving from the Giants to Mets, Torres missed out on last seasons World Series. Now, they've done it again. Pagan is now a New York Met, again, and Torres is now a Giant ... again.
Fans are not the only one's that are joyful about the news, as Manager Bruce Bochy got in on the action with text messages.
"Great to have him back!", Bochy wrote. "He gives us that much more versatility and character in the clubhouse. Everybody loves Andres as a teammate."
