Cain goes 8 Strong, Giants Win 7-1
Matt Cain threw yet another gem, tonight, give his Giants the easy victory of the Colorado Rockies.
San Francisco right hander, Matt Cain, went 8 strong innings, giving up only one earned run, and four hits. He had a night to remember, as he struck out eight batters, bringing his season total to 183. Cain did have some trouble with his control, however, as he tied a career high of four walks. He managed to get out of tense situations with his fastball, which was his best pitch, tonight. Although his slider did set up many of his strikeout victims.
Matt Cain had help in the first inning by his teammates, Angel Pagan, who signaled, and the un-stoppable hitter, Marco Scutaro, getting on yet again. This gave plenty of reason for struggling Pablo Sandoval to close the mouths of the media, as he took a pitchers pitch deep, almost reaching McCovey Cove, and getting an honorary 'Splash Hit'. One guy who does have a splash hit this year is Brandon Belt, who came up with yet another big hit for the Giants, getting his 54th RBI on the season.
