Padres went from Heroes to Zeros!

I'm tired of the Padres having a good year and then the next year they turn into a AAAA Team.

I think you have an extra A in there! But I'm glad to see you back on the Forum :) Come back and post some more!

Well, when you loose your main offensive producer and then hope old guys like Ludwick and Cantu can help you and they don't work that is why your team is sucking. At least your pitching staff is still good. I am a big Latos fan and Heath Bell is still awesome.

Yes why do teams not pay attention to a player's age? That is so dumb!

JustinVerlander35 04-18-2011 10:22 AM

Well older players that where once dominate players are what are called low risk high reward. Because most of the time you do not have to pay them much and if they can show you glimpses at times of what they used to be they are well worth the money. Like Vladdy, and Garry Sheifield with the Tigers a few years back.

But if the glimpses aren't there the team has just wasted money. It seems like players in sports more and more these days don't know when to retire!

I meant to use an extra A. Over here, we have discussions that the Padres are not a "Major League" team nor a "Triple A" team, but more a long the middle of the both which creates an extra A as the secluded team after Triple A and right before going into the Majors. It sounds funny, but we treat it that way so we can have our fun at it.

After we had no choice but to trade Adrian, we ended up with players like Orlando Hudson, Jason Bartlet, Jorge Cantu, Brad Hawpe, and the distilled Ludwick. You think that with these known names it should create some power in the line up.....but same ol Padres.

Yup, our pitching does carry the team, but last year in the end of the season the Pitching started to warn out.

Oh that is funny about the extra "A" :laugh3: I never would have thought of that one myself! At least none of you have lost your sense of humor :) Which is a very important thing not to lose!
