Yankees Kevln Millwood and the Yankees?

Quote:
SI.com's Jon Heyman reports that the Indians maintain interest in free agent Kevin Millwood, but the two sides can't agree on a price.
Millwood has received lukewarm interest on the market, which isn't a surprise after he went 4-16 with a 5.10 ERA and 1.51 WHIP this past season. The Royals could also be players, as could the Yankees, depending on what happens with Andy Pettitte. Baltimore hasn't ruled out re-signing him, either. The right-hander is due for a big paycut after making $12 million in 2010.

I could that happening, Yankees are in need of starting pitching, I am really surprised they haven't offered Jarod Wasburn anything.

At this point I'm not surprised who they offer anyone anything! They dug themselves a hole when it came to pitching and I don't think they are going to be able to crawl out of it

They have a need and numerous options are available but I think Milwood is a reach and I agree with MC someone like Washburn would be a best bet.

You know that name isn't even ringing any bells with me and apparently it isn't ringing any bells for the Yankees either

This is Jarrod Washburn, back in 2009 the Tigers where trying to make a playoff push and we had this promising young kid we had called up named Luke French well he started about 4 games with the Tigers and the Tigers knew that this young guy was good but not capable yet to put a team on his shoulders and carry them to a playoffs. So that magical day I will never forget. We headed into Cleveland it was July 30,2009 and the Tigers traded for the Man who was 8-6 had a 2.64 ERA(which was the third lowest in the AL at the time) Jarrod Washburn. I was overwhelmed with joy. The Tigers finally have a dominate Left Hander? No more Nate Robertson in the rotation? YES! this is just what we need to make a push.

Well boy was I wrong Wasburn made his first start got a no decision not a bad game and then his second start came got creamed, and after just those two starts I realized what the Tigers got another wishy washy type pitcher. He ended up going 1-3 with an ERA over 7.33 and guess what happed to the Tigers. In typical fashion can't win in September and we blew a 6 game lead in 7 days and lost the division on game 163. Great trade for the Tigers

But I am really surprised no has offered him a contract because when he is good he is great, but when he is bad he stinks.
