It's impossible to fend off all the A-Rod haters, I have them sitting at the Stadium every single home game. It's getting tiring Your arguement about his stat padding can be placed on the forehead of just about every damn slugger in baseball.

Look I personally cant stand A-Rods phoney personality. He was a prick for calling Jetes a #2 hitter but he is my teams 3rd baseman and a damn good one at that.

A-Rod is a valuable possesion of the Yankees. In my opinion, too many people critisize him for "lack-luster seasons." Last year A-Rod batted .290, slugged 35 home runs, scored 113 times, stole 15 bases, and led the team with 121 RBI's. Let's face it, for alot of people, that would be close to a career year. But no, with the burden put on A-rod's shoulders because of his hefty salary, people find those stats from last year poor and find A-rod unworthy of wearing pinstripes. I think the fans should ease up on him a little, make him feel at home in the Bronx and watch the magic happen.

Arod is useless. Individual stats are meaningless. It in never about how many, but most importantly WHEN you help the team. Arod does not help a team, that has been proven over the past decade.

Arod is an important part of the Yankees and I think he is not living up to his capabilities because of his harsh treatment by new york fans. He has played for two small market teams in his history and finally he gets to the grandest stage of them all and the fans don't appreciate it. go home.

It's obvious when A-Rod wins a WS with the Yanks alot of people including you will just have to come up with another excuse to bash him. With the way Cashmoney is running the Yanks it's destined to happen in the very near future.

The Yankees still have the capability to win a WS with Arod on the team. It will just take a grander effort by the other players to cover for him and work around him. He is like a detour on the highway to success. A poster stated there are fans who get on Arod at the ballpark. As you can see, there are many of us who realize that individual stats are not the most important thing a player brings to a team. Winning is the most important thing, and Arod over his career has proven he has never brought winning to a team. He just makes it harder for his team to win. I've already pointed out, HRs and RBIs mean little, it is the sac flies, bunts, giving yourself up to move a runner, a big hit in a crucial situation. Arod rarely does these thing, not never, but rarely, while many other players live those attributes. Not every time, probably not most of time, but enough to illustrate the difference between being a player that helps his team win compared to a player who only attains individual stats and does not help his team win.

Sheff was brought on here by Steinbrenner not Cashman. He needs to go and theres no way he'll come back after saying that he will be a cancer to any team that trades for him. He is self centered prick and lousy in the outfield to boot. Reminds me of Belle.
what hurts with that is that Cashman had a deal for Vladimir Guerrero in place and Steinbrenner said no he wanted Sheffield. how in the world you want a 35 year old player over a guy who is 27 and just entering his prime. ive had no faith in Steinbrenners judgement ever since, man could u imagine Vlad in pinstripes?
