Mets So Whats Next??? Philip Kossoy Wants To Know!

Philip Kossoy here...So what's next for the Sandy, Fred & Jeff Show? Sign a SS from Cuba who's the next Mark Belanger? Trade Ike for a Middle Reliever? Invite a bunch of re-treads to spring training in hopes of catching "Lightning in a Bottle" like Latroy Hawkins last year?

NO!!! I say we act like a Big Market Club and:

Trade for Matt Kemp at this weeks winter Meetings. Sources say LA is looking for a third baseman and relief pitching! (Wilmer Flores, Carlos Torres, Jack Lethersich, & whatever for Kemp & 30 million to bring his annual salary down under 20 million per.

Sign Bronson Arroyo 3 Yrs $39 Million. Always healthy, Always 12-15 Wins & really nice WHIP!

Sign Corey Hart 1 Year 8 Million to play 1B with Ike & Dudda. Among the three we should find someone who can hit!

Sign J.P. Howell 2 yrs 10 mil

Sign Eric O'Flaherty Excellent reliever comming off June 1st Tommy John Surgery. Should be good for 4-5 months next season. 2 year 6 million or 1 year 1 million + Incentives for Games Pitched.

NEW TEAM PAYROLL: $115 million. "Less than all other Big Market Teams"

Some of those trades are a bit more farfetched than I think possible for a team that isn't trying to build by dumping lots of money on free agents. Have to get more bats in that line up for sure. Granderson helps, but I think Cody Heart would be a good move and getting Davis out of that park would be nice too. Especially if you can get something decent in return.

I can't wait to see Syndergaard. Kid is a legit. So is Wheeler.

Kemp for who?? If I'm The Dodgers and The Mets approach me for Kemp, the least I want in return is Wright! Remember, The Dodgers aren't exactly looking to build for the future, they want to win now!

Yankee fan since 1961
