phillies have one more game against the giants before they head on over to shea and it looks like rain in the northeast.

Mets look to get on track at home and win a series against an NL east foe.

Ugh we down by 2 runs in the bottom at the top of the 11th. This game may be out of reach. The good news is that the Braves lost their game against the Marlins.

Mets:
Quote:
Tom Glavine's third try at win No. 296 ended in a no-decision after he dueled Jamie Moyer through seven innings, backed by Paul Lo Duca's two-run single. The bullpen kept the score tied until the 11th, when Pedro Feliciano gave up the game-winner.
Phillies:
Quote:
In the top of the 11th inning, Chase Utley connected on his 11th homer of the season, snapping a score that had been knotted at 2 since the third. Utley also knocked in the earlier pair of runs on a single to back left-hander Jamie Moyer, who turned in a solid start but did not factor in the decision.

another lifeless game and an injury.

Mets:
Quote:
Orlando Hernandez was brilliant once again, tossing six scoreless innings and leaving with a two-run lead. But Aaron Heilman yielded a three-run homer to Jimmy Rollins in the seventh, spoiling El Duque's outing as the Mets dropped their third straight.
Phillies:
Quote:
Jimmy Rollins delivered the big blow, a laser over the right-field wall for a go-ahead three-run homer with two outs in the seventh. The long ball propelled Adam Eaton, who tossed six solid frames, to his sixth win and set up a potential series sweep for Philly.
