mets need sosa to give them innings, with an afternoon game set for tommorow tonights game is a need for a win.

Tommorow mets should take the series but with the yankees comming up over the weekend giving the bullpen some rest would be nice if sosa can pitch well.

Mets 8, Cubs 1

Jorge Sosa has scattered a combined nine hits across three straight quality starts. (Jim McIsaac/Getty)

Mets:
Quote:
Jorge Sosa allowed one single and was charged with one run over seven-plus innings as the Mets took the series edge after a roughly three-hour rain delay. Damion Easley hit a two-run shot, Carlos Gomez went 2-for-4 with his first two career RBIs, and David Wright matched him.
Cubs:
Quote:
After waiting out a three-hour and seven-minute rain delay, the Cubs' bats were unable to shake off the rust, managing just two hits in a loss to the Mets. Cliff Floyd drove in the lone run after Rich Hill allowed four runs on seven hits in six innings.
