Not watching the game, but it's 7-0. That's what you get when you go up against a pitcher like Hudson. I think we take the next two from them. I really don't feel like losing a series against the Braves at home...

I had a funny feeling Hudson was going to kick our butt. We better win the next 2!

Thumbs down

We lost this ball game by the final score of 7-3. We couldn't do jack against Hudson.

Mets:
Quote:
Shawn Green belted a two-run shot in the ninth as the Mets rallied for three runs, but it wasn't enough. Tim Hudson shut the Mets down for eight shutout innings, while losing pitcher Mike Pelfrey yielded four early runs.
Braves:
Quote:
If there was any lingering doubt that Tim Hudson had returned to form, he silenced it in a big way with eight shutout innings, lowering his ERA to 0.62. Chipper Jones provided early support with a two-run homer, and Brian McCann added an RBI double.

Oliver has come a long way with the Mets. He came to NY with a 2-11 record and picked his play up big time late in the year. Mets with a decison of 4-3.

Mets tied up this series with a winning this ball game by the final score of 7-2. Castro is heating up since filling in for Paul....with his 3rd home run of the season.

Thumbs up

Mets 7, Braves 2

Winning pitcher Oliver Perez scattered nine hits in 6 2/3 innings, yielding two runs. (Julie Jacobson/AP)

Mets:
Quote:
In stark contrast to his previous outing when he walked seven in 2 2/3 innings, Oliver Perez was sharp, striking out nine and not issuing a walk. Carlos Beltran went 4-for-5 with two RBIs, while Jose Reyes, Ramon Castro and Damion Easley all went deep.
Braves:
Quote:
From the outset, Chuck James was off his game, and never got on track, giving up a career-high six runs on 10 hits in 5 1/3 innings. Meanwhile, the Braves had a tough time solving the Mets' Oliver Perez, collecting just two runs on Andruw Jones' RBI double and Chris Woodward's RBI single.
