Opening Day: Mets @ Cardinals 4/1, 4/3-4/4

Next Game: Sun., April 1 @ 8:05 p.m. ET
TV: ESPN2 | Radio: WFAN 660, WADO 1280 (Sp.)

@
vs

Glavine Carpenter

Mets:
Quote:
The Mets have set their roster, but that doesn't mean they don't have questions. The team opened spring training with three significant concerns: finding the rotation's fifth starter, rounding out the bullpen and solidifying the bench. For a team that won 97 games last year and came within one inning of reaching the World Series, the Mets have some significant pitching issues.
Cardinals:
Quote:
With reliever Josh Kinney having gone down for the year with elbow surgery and with Adam Wainwright and Brad Looper being moved from the bullpen to the rotation, the Cardinals found themselves shorter of late-inning relief than they might have thought. Young Brad Thompson and veteran Russ Springer were thrust into roles that hadn't necessarily been envisioned for them.

Hey Brian, I still get chills when I see that catch, one of the best I've seen in a post season game.

Reyes has a rocket for an arm! Come on Mets we need to get this offense going, and give "old" Glavine some run support. No score at the top of the 3rd.

As I typed the above post, Glavine leads on with a basehit. What a way to help your cause. LOL Now let's get a rally going guys.

Delgado with 2RBI's to give the Mets a 2-0 lead and Glavine some much needed run support.

Lo Duca with the clutch 2RBI's...to give the Mets a 4-0 cushion. We aren't out of the woods yet, but it's a good start. Top of the 4th inning!

Carp appears to be running out of gas, he gives up another RBI. The Cardinals bull pen is up and throwing.
