Marlins Johnson's health key for Marlins' hopes

Quote:
So just how important is having a healthy, happy, dominant Josh Johnson to the Marlins?

"I hate to put everything on him," outfielder Logan Morrison said, "but him going out there every fifth day as our stopper is real important."

The Marlins say their No. 1 guy is as important to them as, say, Justin Verlander is to the Tigers. He's the guy who stops losing streaks, sets a tone, elevates a franchise.

He is the key to the Marlins pitching staff. He pitched well his first outing this spring.

The addition of Buehrle will help the rotation with a presence of a veteran, but if Johnson goes down and misses a lot of the season again they will be back to 4th place in the division this year.
