Angels rookie center fielder Mike Trout has made history. In the top of the seventh inning Sunday against the Rangers, Trout homered to dead center field. It was his 30th home run of the season.
Trout also stole his 48th base earlier in the game, so his power-speed combo has been illustrated in the affair, but the most significant movement is the 30th home run.
Trout has now become the youngest person in major-league history to hit 30 homers and steal 30 bases in a season, and he's also the first rookie in MLB history with 30 homers and 40 steals.
