Shoulder pain

Alright guys, I need some help with this one the last couple of time i've tried to throw a baseball I have felt a sharp stabbing pain in my shoulder and have no idea why.

I had been throwing pretty much daily up until about three weeks ago when my brother hurt his arm falling down the stairs, after he started being able to throw again MY arm starts hurting.

I first noticed the pain when I was pitching into a net I tried to throw a slider and felt a sharp pain in my shoulder, later that day my brother and i went over to the ball field to practice and I threw for about fifteen minutes without pain but after that it started hurting to the point where i couldn't throw at all.

So i took a week off and didn't throw once and then we went out to play catch and I only made one throw that caused my shoulder to hurt too badly to continue.

The pain starts when my arm is cocked back to throw

It doesn't hurt to swing a bat or do anything except throw.

So anyone got any idea's what it could be? Did I just tweak it and it just needs rest or could I have hurt something structurally or pulled a muscle or something?

Thanks.

Sounds like a dislocation. The only reason I can think of that your arm will still hurt after taking a week off is because it's dislocated. It's not hard to dislocated a shoulder, simply fall down or even just sleep on it wrong.

It could also be because your mom is weak compared to the amount of throwing you've been doing. Whatever it is, continue to take it so and try your best to work through the pain. However, if it's sharp and you are just flat out unable to deal with it don't continue to throw and go talk to a doc.

Well apparently my shoulder wasn't the problem. I went to the baseball field to throw for a while and every things fine shoulder feels great no pain.

after I got finished throwing I decided to grab my skateboard and skate for a little while. I was skating down a hill and hit a rock and bailed off the board and thought that i was in some grass so i did a baseball slide to kill my momentum well as it turns out I was still on the asphalt and gashed open my knee all the way down to the fatty layer of tissue between the muscle and the skin I would have needed stitches but there wasn't anything to stitch back together.

But at least my shoulders fine
