Royals prospects

There are some Royals prospects now (Moustakas and Hosmer included, even though they're up now) that look GOOD. The Royals have a TON of young talent coming up and isn't it about time? In that division, it wouldn't take much to be competitive up in the top and with Butler in the DH spot because Hosmer is playing first base, and now Moustakas has started off his rookie season with a bang.

The disappointing thing right now is starting pitching. Had hoped that Montgomery would be up with Duffy by now and showing potential, but he's struggling in the minors.

Very pleased with Hosmer. Hopeful about Moustakas, though his defense is below avg. Really like Escobar at SS and he's starting to hit a little. The outfield is playing very well, but they will probably move Cabrera and Frenchy before the season is over.

In the minors, looking forward to the 2B at Omaha (something like Giavetelli) and Will Myers in the OF. Oh, and Cain too.

Royals will surprise this year. Just not sure how yet.
2011 Prediction: 73-89

This team is going to be a good one in the near future. I say they need to bring these guys up and let them ply at the big league level. The team isn't going anywhere this season. Let's get these young players feet wet a bit.

Fully Agree, the bats will be there / or at least their developing but yes they need some quality arms to compliment this squad.

The Royals are going to be a team that will contend in the near future. If some of these young pitchers develop they are going to be great for a long while.

With all the pitching and hitting prospects this team could easily be in the central race come as early as 2012.

They do have some young one that might be ready, but I understand what you are saying. It all comes down to the pitching.

They do have a great offensive club though. Melky Cabrerea, Jeff Francour, Eric Hosmer, and Mike Moustakas will be good as well.
