Greinke is dominant again in Royals' 6-1 victory over Tigers

Even with Zack Greinke on the mound Tuesday night, the Royals, in their current funk, needed a little bit of help to get pointed in the right direction.

Detroit provided it with a couple of throwing errors by pitcher Edwin Jackson. Greinke took it from there and pitched the Royals to a 6-1 victory at Kauffman Stadium.

Greinke improved to 8-1 while registering his fifth complete game as the ERA inched up to 0.84. No other pitcher in either league entered the day with more than two complete games. No other team had more five complete games.
