New to the forum--have blog post following steve carlton's 1972 season--goat
 
Hello. I am new to this forum and am interested in answering baseball history questions via close narrative. My first research question, who had the greatest single season pitching record in MLB has led me to do a blog essay covering the 1972 season of Steve Carlton of the Phillies, start by start, batter by batter. I am doing it in "real time" (I'm slightly behind, but have written about his first 24 starts. It is a single blog post, a long essay that includes llinks, to linescores, box scores and play by plays, newspaper articles, pitcher repertoires, ballpark diagrams, weather conditions, and cumulative and game by game statistics, pitch count estimates, among other features. I have just finished Start 24, Carlton v Tommie John and the Dodgers at LA.
