HOUSTON -- The Houston Astros return from a four-city, nine-game road trip to play host to the Milwaukee Brewers (April 27-29) for a three-game series, followed by a series against the Cincinnati Reds (May 1-3).
Highlights of the homestand include: CITGO Day (April 27); Friday Night Fireworks (April 27); Tommy Bahama Island Cowboy Classic (April 30); and the Reliant Energy Home Run Derby with the Houston Texans (May 3).
(APRIL 27-29) MILWAUKEE BREWERS: The Brewers will visit Minute Maid Park for the first time of the 2007 season for a three-game series. Games are Friday (April 27) at 7:05 p.m., Saturday (April 28) at 6:05 p.m., and Sunday (April 29) at 1:05 p.m. RHP Roy Oswalt will make his sixth start of the season against LHP Chris Capuano on Friday (April 27). Saturday's game (April 28) will feature RHP Chris Sampson against the Brewers' RHP Dave Bush, and RHP Woody Williams will finish off the series against RHP Claudio Vargas (April 29).
(MAY 1-3) CINCINNATI REDS: Game times for Tuesday (May 1), Wednesday (May 2) and Thursday (May 3) are scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Pitching matchups are to be announced.
(APRIL 27) CITGO DAY: CITGO and the Houston Astros are combining their efforts to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). During Friday's game (April 27) vs. the Brewers, CITGO will donate $1 million for any Astros player who hits the CITGO sign during the game, $10,000 for every home run hit by an Astros player and $5,000 for an Astros win.
General Manager Tim Purpura, President of Business Operations Pam Gardner, catcher Humberto Quintero, outfielder Luke Scott, first base coach Jose Cruz, Hall of Fame announcer Milo Hamilton, mascot Junction Jack, and members of the Astros front office staff will attend a special reception and autograph session at CITGO Petroleum Corporation on Friday (April 27) at 12:00 noon. CITGO and MDA representatives will also participate in pre-game festivities, as Alejandro Araque, Julia Cramer and Felix Rodriguez will throw out the ceremonial first pitches.
(APRIL 27) COCA-COLA VALUE NIGHT: Friday, April 27, is a Coca-Cola Value Night. Every Friday home game throughout the regular season, fans can present one (1) coupon from a specially marked 24-pack of Coca-Cola Classic or Diet Coke at the Texas Avenue Box Office at Minute Maid Park or enter a special code online and pay $60 for the Value Nights pack (includes four (4) Mezzanine level tickets, four (4) hot dogs, four (4) Coca-Cola beverages, and two (2) Astros caps). Friday Night Fireworks will be held immediately following the game's conclusion.
(APRIL 28) PREPARED 4 LIFE: The Houston Astros and Jeff Bagwell will take part in a special pre-game ceremony with Prepared 4 Life (P4L), a local non-profit organization. P4L prepares middle school youth for life through fun, proactive, experiential after-school programs. On Saturday (April 28), P4L representatives will be at Minute Maid Park to promote a new event called Lemonade Day that will take place on May 6. This unique project has been created to educate today's young people about how to become Houston's future business leaders.
In preparation for Lemonade Day, Jeff Bagwell and representatives from P4L will encourage children to sign up for the Lemonade Day project. Four locations will be stationed on the main concourse of the ballpark throughout the Astros vs. Brewers series (April 27-29), and a portion of the proceeds from Minute Maid Lemonade concession sales will be donated to P4L. In addition, on Saturday (April 28) at 5:00 p.m., Astros mascot Junction Jack will take on Lemonade Day mascot Lemonhead in a lemon juice squeeze-off at Minute Maid Squeeze Play, located near the Right Field gate at Section 133. (APRIL 29) HOMETOWN HEROES: Hometown Heroes, sponsored by Centerpoint Energy, recognizes everyday people from the Greater Houston community that have helped their neighborhoods in extraordinary ways. Dr. Mark Kline will be recognized as this season's first hometown hero during a pre-game ceremony preceding the Astros game vs. the Brewers on Sunday (April 29). Dr. Kline will also throw out the first pitch of the afternoon.
(APRIL 30) TOMMY BAHAMA ISLAND COWBOY CLASSIC: The Astros will take the greens on Monday, April 30, to benefit the Astros in Action Foundation. The second annual Tommy Bahama Island Cowboy Classic golf tournament will be held at The Palmer Golf Course in The Woodlands. Play begins at 12:00 p.m. with a shotgun start, followed by a dinner celebration with silent and live auctions at 6:00 p.m. Current and former players, coaches and members of the front office staff who will be in attendance include Jeff Bagwell, Kevin Bass, Dave Borkowski, Enos Cabell, Jim Deshaies, Larry Dierker, Brett Dolan, Phil Garner, Dave Gottfried, Rex Jones, Dave Labossiere, Nathan Lucero, Jason Lane, Tim Purpura, Chad Qualls, Terry Puhl, Dave Raymond, and Dan Wheeler.*

(MAY 1) OFFSHORE TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE NIGHT: HOUSTON-The Houston Astros are partnering with the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) for a special night at an Astros vs. Reds game on Tuesday (May 1). The opening game of the series against the Reds has been designated as "OTC Night at the Ballpark." OTC Chairman Arnis Judzis will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Over 2,000 OTC participants and exhibitors are expected to attend Tuesday night's game. The Offshore Technology Conference is the world's foremost event for the development of offshore resources in the fields of drilling, exploration, production, and environmental protection.
(MAY 1) DOUBLE PLAY TUESDAY: Tuesday, May 1, is Double Play Tuesday presented by Powerade. Fans can present two (2) labels from two (2) specially marked 32-oz. bottles of Powerade product at the Texas Avenue Box Office and get two (2) Outfield Deck admission tickets to any regular season Tuesday home game for only $2. The Double Play Tuesday offer is valid for all Tuesday Astros home games throughout the regular season.
(MAY 3) HOUSTON TEXANS HOME RUN DERBY AT MINUTE MAID PARK: On Thursday, May 3, players from the Houston Texans will make a trip across town visit Minute Maid Park. The Houston Astros will host the Texans for the annual Reliant Energy Home Run Derby benefiting Boys and Girls Club of Greater Houston.
The Home Run Derby is scheduled to run from 2:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. This is the second year the Texans and Astros have used their annual Home Run Derby to benefit Reliant Energy's PowerBlast Program. For every home run hit, Reliant Energy will donate $250 to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Houston. Following the derby, the player that hits the most home runs will present the special donation to members of the Boys and Girls Club.

TOUR MINUTE MAID PARK
The Astros offer public tours of Minute Maid Park, allowing visitors to enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at the downtown ballpark. Fans are invited to take tours on a walk-up basis or through a private reserved group for parties of 25 or more. Educational tours are also available for children in kindergarten through eighth grade. Tours run Monday through Saturday, with three tours daily at 10:00 a.m., 12:00 noon and 2:00 p.m. The tour schedule changes on days of evening home games with the addition of a fourth tour, the Early Bird Tour, offered one hour prior to gates opening. Tickets are also available at the Minute Maid Park Box Office on Texas Avenue, which is open 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. On game days, the box office opens at 8:30 a.m. during the week and 9:00 a.m. on weekends and remains open until 30 minutes after the final out.
