I have to defend my favorite player, so here I go.

Alex's situation is different than those of Barry Bonds, and Mark McGwire. A-rod is STILL an active player. It would've sucked if he had this amazing career and we ended up finding out he used steroids after he had retired. We know he is/was a great player without them. A-rod helped the Yankees win the World Series in 2009 with his stellar post season.

If his career ended today, Alex Rodriguez has earned the right to be in the Baseball Hall of Fame. Why punish A-Rod and others when we will never know how widespread steroid use really was? Just because he was caught? Well, just because you don't get a ticket when you go over the speed limit doesn't mean you haven't broken the law. If we keep A-Rod out, how many others might be entering the Hall of Fame with a dirty little secret? And what happens if years from now the truth is told? Do we throw them out of the Hall?

The only question is if A-Rod will go into the Hall Of Fame as a Yankee or a Mariner.

Every MLB player who ehances illegal substances, (such as steroids, drugs, or other prohibited substances) will have all of their stats stripped away from them, so they go to .000 BA, .000 OBP, .000 everything. Zero homeruns. Zero everything. If the player wishes to start over, they are allowed to.. but if they are ever caught cheating again, they will be banned from ANY MLB activity until further notice.

I just hate cheaters.. plainly HATE them
See that is TOO extreme because as I have said, they still had talent. Go look at Barry Bonds numbers pre-1999. He STILL had Hall of Fame numbers. You cannot due something like that. Part of steroids ruining the name of baseball is on the fault of baseball. Terrible drug testing system, lack of drug testing. Baseball didn't really start cracking down with drug test until 2002.

I see what you're saying.. but these guys admitted to it. The MLB can do nothing to the ones who have 'dirty little secrets'. They can't. Unless they are still playing, which involves in drug testing, but if they are retired.. what can they do? So, A-Roid does not deserve the HoF..

A-Rod does deserve the Hall Of Fame. You're just being biased, Kelzzy. You obviously didn't understand my post.

Scratch off his Texas years out of his career, and leave in Seattle and New York....

Dude would still have 500+ Career HR's if you scratch off the Texas years. Yes, he cheated, but he has the natural talent and would put up HOF numbers without steroids. Stop being biased.

I agree with the talent part. I don't want him in the HoF but he will be.

Alright, I can't change your minds.. I'm just putting my 2 cents in. It's what I believe in. I know these guys had loads of talent.. but who's to say that it could have taken them where they are now. And sharky, A-Roid cheated in his last year of seattle, all of his years in Texas, and his first 3 years with the Yanks. That's 7 years of cheating!

His last year in Seattle wasn't even his best year there, lol.

What about his historic 2007 season? And how are you so sure he was juicing for 7 years? Did he tell you?

To answer the question in your original post: Yes, A-Rod will make it to the Hall of Fame. I think we can all agree on that.
