We all know how much I hate A-Roid. But is he going to make it to the Hall, or is he even going to get close? I'm 99.9% he won't make it. But what do you think? And if you say he won't make it, what do you think his percentile of votes will be? What percent?

I say he will get 30% his first year of voting
Second year - 20%

I grew up watching A-Rod. I wanted to be just like him, lol.

A-Rod will absolutely get into the Hall of Fame.

Here is the thing: that WHOLE era of steroids has a big scar on baseball. I've said this numerous times: no matter if you took steroids and no matter how much you take you still have to have NATURAL TALENT. If you gave me one year of training and pumping HGH in me everyday I still couldn't hit Verlander if I tried.

Now, that still doesn't take away from the fact that they did cheat. They did use something to keep their bodies healthy that players in the past did not have. I am FULLY against players that used steroids getting into the Hall of Fame but that is not going to happen.

All those players: Clemens, Bonds, McGwire, Sosa, are not going to get in on their first ballot attempt. It is going to take sometime before the writers who vote them in decide what how and what they are going to do with players linked to steroids.

Here is what I think is going to happen: I think they will all get in but it will not be until their 7th or 8th year on the ballot. Do they put something on their plaque saying something about PED's? Do they have a separate part of the Hall of Fame for that ERA? Do they put a * next to everything they did? I don't know. But, the talent those players had was Hall of Fame worthy.

It is going to take the Baseball Writers of America a while before they do vote a guy linked to PED's in. Like I said, so much controversy around these players, so many different view points on PED's, it's just going to be a touchy subject that will be brought up a lot over the next five years.

Woah. I don't think anybody who used steriods deserves the HOF. Why? Why do they get the credit for something they accomplished by using a needle. The big cheater Barry Bonds took Hanks record. In reality, it should still be Hanks, because he actually worked. I'm not saying Bonds didn't work, but I can place everything on it, Hank Aaron worked harder then him. It goes the same for A-Roid. He's stealing records that he doesn't deserve. Heck, if they did it with real talent and hard work, no steriod use, I would be their BIGGEST fan. But no, they cheated. And because they cheaeted, they deserve nothing.

They still have the NATURAL TALENT to do what they did. You don't hit 762 home runs from just using steroids. You have to be able to put bat on the ball. Funny thing about work: the guys who did roids were the ones that worked the hardest in the gyms and to stay in shape. How do you think that they were in their late 30's and still producing?

I think you really need to do some research on steroids to see what they actually do. You have the typical attitude about it that is WAY far off.

I am with you too, Kelz. I don't want them in the HoF. Yes I think they were great players, loads of talent, but they did cheat.

Yeah I know I'm kinda overreacting to the steroid use.. but it pisses me off. I just wish they didn't resort to cheating. If I was the commisner of MLB, I would make this rule:

Every MLB player who ehances illegal substances, (such as steroids, drugs, or other prohibited substances) will have all of their stats stripped away from them, so they go to .000 BA, .000 OBP, .000 everything. Zero homeruns. Zero everything. If the player wishes to start over, they are allowed to.. but if they are ever caught cheating again, they will be banned from ANY MLB activity until further notice.


I just hate cheaters.. plainly HATE them

I think he will get in, but he really doesn't deserve it since he cheated.
