it is unfair and an insult to baseball to not have one of the best players who played the game the way anyone would want their son or brother to play it, not to be in the Hall.

I just looked at it from a baseball standpoint, he should be in, but add in personal stuff, I dont know, it's a very grey area for me.

However, I dont think he's one of the best players of all time, he was very good over a long period time, sort of the Nolan Ryan of position players, very good, but not GREAT.

In my eyes, careers as a player and a manager are two differant things. Rose deserved to make the hall as a player but of course has to be banned from ever getting in as a manager.

I don't think he should be allowed back into the game but I don't see why the ban has to also include the hall of fame.

Yes he should be in the Hall of Fame. I give the man credit for owning his mistakes and paying for them. I also agree with the agrument that he deserves to be in the hall as player regardless of his actions as a coach.

Plus I would like to see my Rose rookie card go up in value.

No...Not unless they put "Shoeless" Joe Jackson in first.

I think it is a disgrace that the all time hit leader is not in the Hall of Fame. I agree that his betting was wrong but he had been punished harshly and he regrets his actions. Forgive Pete!

He should be in regardless.

Listen people make mistakes. So many people have done dumb things and have gotten away with it. Whether its Lawrence Taylor admitting he had hookers go into his opponents rooms the night before to get them tired or Michael Jordan even admitting to gambleing.

Theyre no different than Rose and they get away with it. Rose I am sure regrets every minute of it, and has been living with the shame of it for decades.

Like him or not, he WAS one of the best pure contact hitters to ever grace the sport and is human like we all are. Everyone makes mistakes, its if you can be accountable for them and admit where your wrong that counts.
