Baylor returns to Rockies as hitting coach
"Don Baylor got the message in the summer.
Rockies manager Clint Hurdle, charged with handling the National League team at the All-Star Game, spent nearly three months finding a way to have Baylor, out of baseball, approved to be an honorary member of the coaching staff.
"It came out of left field," Baylor said. "It was a tremendous honor. It was an indication of our relationship."
An even bigger indication came Monday.
