Reds Reds: Phillips extension has 'ways to go'

Quote:
In very much 21st-century fashion, Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips hinted Tuesday night that he and the club are closing in on a long-term contract extension, though Cincinnati indicated it could still be a while before a deal is reached.

The Reds would be smart to get this extension done. He is a great player and huge fan favorite.

No doubt they will re-sign him. Good year for him to win another GG and a SS on a contract year.

I agree they will re-sign him. He is a huge asset to the top of the Reds line up.
