Reds Bailey headed to DL with shoulder impingement

Quote:
The Reds' rotation has taken another hit because of an injury. Starter Homer Bailey will be placed on the 15-day disabled list because of a right shoulder impingement.

The diagnosis was made on Friday. Bailey will be shut down from throwing for a week and is expected to miss at least two starts, general manager Walt Jocketty said.

"It's something he could have pitched with, but it would have lingered through the year," Jocketty said. "He feels fine and he's pitching fine. But in certain areas when he gets his arm back so far, he can feel a little something. So it's best to shut him down."The Reds' rotation has taken another hit because of an injury. Yeah no worries here. Will be glad to get him back in there though.

When you play this game 20 years, go to bat 10,000 times, and get 3,000 hits, you know what that means? You've gone 0 for 7,000. -Peter Edward Rose
