The Reds are on pace for their ninth straight losing season and their second in a row under Dusty Baker. According to Hall of Fame writer Hal McCoy of the Dayton Daily News, changing managers this offseason is not an option.
"Firing manager Dusty Baker is NOT an option. They owe him $4 million for next year, so don't even suggest it, don't go there," McCoy blogged. Reds CEO Bob Castellini gave Baker a vote of confidence,
telling the Cincinnati Enquirer that Baker's job is safe.
