2006 SPRING TRAINING: Last spring, their ninth at the City of Sarasota Sports Complex, the Reds
fi nished 22-11 (.667) and produced the most victories and second-best winning percentage in the Major
Leagues (Fla, .679, 19-9)...Cin has produced 3 consecutive spring records of at least .500 for the fi rst
time since 1988-90, while the team was based in Plant City...haven’t produced winning records in 4
straight springs since at least 1970...in 2006, average attendance at 7,500-seat Ed Smith Stadium in
Sarasota was 5,275, including 2 sellouts (3/10 vs NYY, 3/28 vs Bos)...the paid attendance of 7,624 on
3/28 vs Bos was the third-largest in stadium history and the second largest paid crowd ever to see the
Reds play here...total attendance at Ed Smith was 84,403 in 16 dates...club leaders included Andy

THE GM: Executive vice president and general manager Wayne Krivsky is in his second season as
the organization’s top baseball offi cial and in his 31st in a Major League Baseball front offi ce...in his
fi rst season he acquired 36 players, 24 of whom appeared in at least 1g for the Reds...his ‘06 club
remained in the playoff race until the second-to-last day of the season...he has spent 28 years in baseball
administration, with scouting and player evaluation experience at all levels of development.
