Epstein named President of Baseball Operations. This is a great move for the Cubs.

If he wins a World Series with the cubs he will go down as the greatest GM of all time.

The city of Chicago would go crazy if they win a World Series.

I think the world win end if the Cubbies ever win a World Series

Didn't they last win in 1918?

Nope, that was the Red Sox who had last won it in 1918 and then suffered an 86 year drought. Of course you know they won it in 2004 and 2007.

Cubs haven't won it since 1908 when they beat my Tigers. Last time they went to the World Series in 1945 when the Tigers beat them

Wow, even a longer time since a World Series win. Maybe they will pursue Prince Fielder and be there next season. Oh wait the Nationals will be there.

I agree, the Nats have a lot of money to spend. We as baseball fans have saw how they will drop a lot of money on one player that clearly isn't worth it.

I think Prince would be worth it. Adding him to a roster that in maybe two years will have Bryce Harper on it to go along with: Strasburg, Ryan Zimmerman, Jordan Zimmermann, Tyler Clippoard, Micheal Morse, you will have a team that will be a contender.

I think the Blue Jays may go after Prince very hard as well.

Jayson was a good player, but not worth the kind of money the Nats spent on him.

If the Dodgers can't win it in the NL, I'll be rooting for the Cubs to win it all next season. I just feel bad for their fan base.
