Redsox Four Reasons Why the Boston Red Sox Should Not Go After Josh Hamilton

Quote:
The Boston Red Sox traded away Carl Crawford, Josh Beckett, Adrain Gonzalez, and Nick Punto not even three days ago. With over 250 million dollars in contracts coming off the books, and with a sub-par team on the field, there is a good chance the Red Sox will be very active in the free agent market this off-season.

One of the biggest free agents available is Texas Rangers‘ slugger, Josh Hamilton. Hamilton’s talents will be sought after, but here are four reasons why the Red Sox should not be one of the teams:

OMG. They are interested in him? Wow. Why would the rangers get rid of him..

And like you said, that trade they just pulled off put hamilton out of the question.

You know how free agency works, right? The Rangers aren't going to get rid of him. The Cardinals didn't get rid of Pujols. Albert left because the Angels jumped in the picture and offered him a big 10 year contract. That's what the Red Sox might do. Well, not sure about 10 years, but you know what I mean.

Hamilton is 31 years old, so he's probably going to want a big contract. I don't know if the Rangers will offer him what he wants. Then again, who knows what he wants.

I don't know. We just have to wait and see what happens.

When the Angels signed Albert Pujols I was speechless! I couldn't believe it! One of my favorite players/future hall of famer was going to be an Angel. It was the best feeling I've had as an Angels fan since we won the World Series in 2002. Then I found out we signed CJ Wilson as well. I thought I was dreaming. I was like, "how they hell do they have all this damn money!?"

I remember eating breakfast before school and ESPN announced it. I almost spit out my food I was so shocked. It was a major disappointment that he left my favorite team..

No. I was very disappointed. I was happy because I got over it realizing I could catch cheap A's games watching Pujols for a good price..
