Seeking some help with photos/cards
I have a few photos. I am wondering if they are authentic...of any value. I have no idea.
Many are of Joe DiMaggio (mostly with other players some solo). One has a sticker on the back stating: "Copyright Brace Photo All Rights Reserved" with a Chicago address that I am thinking is the company recently belonging to George Brace's daughter.
I also have a photo that is black and white (really brownish and white). It is, I believe, a really good (copy?)picture of Babe Ruth at the 1948 Giants home opener. There is a similar photo that is shared on this site but the one I have is from a different angle. The back is stamped: "THE MAJOR LEAGUE CLUB INSIGNIAS DEPICTED ON THIS PRODUCT ARE TRADEMARKS WHICH ARE THE EXLUSIVE PROPERTY OF THE MJOR LEAGUE CLUBS AND MAY NOT BE REPRODUCED WITHOUT THEIR WRITTEN CONSENT. COPYRIGHT 1990 TV SPORTS MAILBAG, ELMSFORD, NY 10523". This is printed on Fujicolor paper so it doesn't seem old. I just haven't seen it before.
One of the photos I have says it is from the 1936 World Series. It has Joe DiMaggio, Tony Lazzeri, and Frankie Crosetti of the Yankees along with Gus Mancuso and Lou Chiozza of the Giants photographed together.
I have no idea if these are copies, originals, etc. I have a Mickey Mantel photograph.
I also have a stack of cards. I am not sure they are worth much but two might be. One is the #537 1963 Rookie Stars Gonzalez, McMullen, Rose, Weis.
The other is Don Mattingly Donruss 248 which might just be in mint condition.
If anyone can point me in the right direction or has any insight, it would be appreciated.
Thank you!
