Eh... that's a bit un-true. Your relievers can be just important as your starters. Say your starter goes seven strong innings, if you have the bullpen lets say like the Mets who can't hold a lead to save their lives your going to loose a lot of games. If you have a bullpen like the Tigers to where you can give the ball to Jaqoin Benoit in the 8th then give the ball to a great closer like Valverde, chances are your going to win a lot of games.
I wouldn't say relievers aren't as good as starters. Brad Penny is no-where near as good as guys like Heath Bell, or Mike Adams, Craig Kimbrel, Tyler Clippord. The thing with relievers is they don't have either enough stamina to go nine innings or they don't have that good of pitches to be a starter.
I mean look at Alexi Ogando, he was a reliever and look how good he as been. So to say that relievers aren't as good as starters is un-true.
