My favorite game I attended was in 1993 at Busch Stadium. The Cardinals were pretty bad back then, after the death of owner Augie Busch, Jr and the new owner was his son (August III) who only cared about running the brewery and NOT the Cardinals. Anyway, during those dark years of our history, I saw a game where the Cards beat the Reds and scored 10 runs. In that game, Cardinals 1Bman Gregg Jefferies hit 2 HRs to lead the attack.
I brought my German exchange student to the game, and he loved it! He had never been to a baseball game before, or seen one on TV. He was especially happy the Cardinals won because even over in Germany, he had heard the scandal about then Reds owner Marge Schott and her Nazi armband!
The greatest game I saw on TV is absolutely, without a doubt, Game 6 of the 2011 World Series!!! Down to our last strike 2 times and came through, one with the 2 run 3B by David Freese to tie in the bottom of the 9th, and the other a run scoring single by Lance Berkman to tie when he was down to his last strike! The two separate 2 run comebacks in the 9th and 10th innings set a World Series record, as did the Cardinals scoring in the 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th innings of a WS game. Spectacular, exciting and an instant classic! Oh yeah, and I saw that game down here in Texas. Not a popular guy when all that happened!!!
