Question Banning?

I guess since we don't as yet have an Administrator this may be an early question, but what are the rules about banning here on this Forum? The last Forum I posted in had a lot of rules about what could get a poster banned and even for how long the poster could be banned for what they had done. Sometimes it was for a few weeks, then months, a year ban was possible, and then, of course, the forever ban also was used. Just asking because I don't plan on ever being banned

If you ever say "never" again then you get banned.

I love that Smilie of yours. I suppose by the time you got here any rules, regulations, had fallen by the wayside?

This is a good question and I wish I was not at work to be able to give a complete answer. I will post it later on today giving the entire rules. One thing I will say is that I dont run a strict ship and Spammers are the only people I like to ban, but will hand infractions for repeat warnings.

Ah a voice of reason I love to hear that Especially after the last forums I was on! They even had a banned "list" telling who was banned, why they were banned, and for how long they were banned! Also there was a lot of favoritism on the Forum as well

If I may speak on behalf of the staff, usually a banning will only occur if someone has received enough infractions. The only time I have banned someone instantly is if they have either advertised (Sometimes it is a member with a good past and it wasn't intended that way, so they will just get a warning), or if they just go WAY WAY over the line. No favoritism here either. Everyone will abide by the same set of rules.

If you every have any questions or concerns at all, always feel free to contact anyone on the staff.

The last Forum I was on was awful! They have a list of banned members. Their staff shows favoritism. And a lot of people on that Forums know each other in "real life" so for those of us that didn't it was always like you were on the outside looking in even when you were actually a member!

Yeah I am not a fan of having a thread about people being banned. It turns into something of a shrine most of the time. Favoritism is a problem a lot of times on forums but the VS forums I have been on have been pretty good about that kind of stuff.

And with this staff in town, we will do things right.
