Manhattan Field & Polo Grounds

Here is a diagram showing both of the stadiums that were located below coogans bluff around 1891. the giants moved from the original polo grounds to manhattan field for the 1889 and 1890 seasons. then the giants moved next door to botherhood park and renamed the stadium the new polo grounds.the giants remained there from 1891 until the 1957 season when they moved to san can see in the photo the new polo grounds was located next to the elevated rail yard on 157th street. manhattan field was located next to the the 155th street bridge in the diagram.after manhattan field was torn down the field next to the polo grounds remained empty until they paved the property for the parking lot next to the stadium.
Now the elevated rail yard remained next to the polo grounds third base side until the 1940s when it was torn down for apartments.
