St. Louis Cardinals Biggest Needs

With the St. Louis Cardinals currently in third place, they hope to take a sweep against the upcoming Miami series. Can they do it? It's going to be hard.. and here's why.

With the well known leaving of 'The Machine', Albert Pujols, the Cardinals not only lost one of the best players to ever play the game, but an inspiring teammate. Players have always talked about Pujols ability to start a rally, even when it's not him at bat. But what can the Cardinals do about that now? Nothing much. What they need most important, more important than a having a good teammate, is a solid first baseman.

The Cardinals are beginning to have the same situation the SF Giants had before June, when current first baseman Brandon Belt finally showed his true colors. Giants manager Bruce Bochy shared games between Aubrey Huff, Brett Pill, and Brandon Belt.
