Well most of MLBs foreign players are from the Dominican Republic and Venezuela. Those two nations are already qualified for March. This tournament's quality will improve slowly over the years, but it is by no means a replacement for MLB. The Taiwan group had only one player with MLB experience, Johnny Damon, the Panama group has several current and former Major leaguers, like Carlos Ruiz, Edgar Renteria, Carlos Lee, Everth Cabrera, Ruben Tejada, Yan Gomes, and Donavan Solano. Some baseball is always better than no baseball.
