VIERA, Fla. -- Nationals right hander Shawn Hill had another solid outing on Saturday afternoon, when he allowed two unearned runs on two hits over 5 1/3 innings during a 4-2 loss to the Cardinals.
Hill got off to a slow start because he was having problems with his command. It also didn't help that his defense committed four errors.
"It was not my best command," Hill said. "The curveball still needs a lot of work. My changeup was better today. On the fastball, the ball was moving a lot today. I never got a real good feel."
Hill will make one final spring start against the Orioles on Thursday before pitching his first regular-season game against the Marlins. The big issue has always been Hill staying healthy, which he hasn't done since the 2003 season because of elbow problems. Hill still has some tightness in his right forearm], which he says is 90 percent healthy.
"It's barely there," said Hill. "But it's not affecting me throwing anymore. It's just a matter of staying on top of it."

I don't that i'd worry much about what Hill said about his curve because alot of pro athletes tend to be perfectionists and i think that this is a case of that.
