Scouting Report:
Royals: Perez went 5 1/3 innings in a 7-1 loss to the Red Sox in his first start of the season. Perez permitted four runs on five hits and three walks, while striking out three. Perez gave up six runs on seven hits in his only start against the Blue Jays last season.
Blue Jays: Burnett struggled in his first start, giving up six runs on five hits in just two-plus innings. The right-hander threw 55 pitches, including 26 strikes, and had four walks and two strikeouts in a loss to the Tigers on Wednesday. Burnett is 0-1 with a 6.23 ERA in his career against the Royals. He is 6-2 with a 3.34 ERA at the Rogers Centre.
