Default Blue Jays roll it up on Red Sox

TORONTO -- The Blue Jays tied a season high for runs in a 13-4 rout of the Red Sox on Sunday afternoon at Rogers Centre.
Toronto sent nine men to the plate in the third, notching five hits and three runs against Boston starter Kyle Snyder (4-5). Reed Johnson and Vernon Wells contributed RBI doubles, and catcher Bengie Molina added an RBI single.

The Jays (82-73) had another bat-around inning in the seventh that led to five more runs. The frame was highlighted by a two-run single from Troy Glaus that gave the slugger 100 RBIs for the season. It was the fourth time the third baseman has reached the 100-RBI plateau in his career, and the first time since 2002.

Gustavo Chacin (9-3) was shaky, but ultimately got the job done for his third win in his last four starts. The left-hander allowed three runs on six hits in five innings. Chacin was helped by inning-ending double plays in the second and third.
