TORONTO -- Mickey Brantley liked what he heard. It was the first day that Toronto's hitting coach got a good look at Adam Lind in a batting cage, and Brantley was impressed with something the 23-year-old prospect said.
"He said to me, 'Now I'm going to see if I can really hit,'" Brantley recalled. "That was good, because he didn't say, 'Now I'm going to see if I can't hit.' I kind of liked that, because he didn't know what to expect, but he was going to go up there and take his swings.
"He exudes confidence, there's no question about it."
