There was really nothing revolutionary about that. Getting on base is a good thing, much better than trotting back to the dugout. It always has been.
It turns out Ricciardi also believes in pitching and defence. He was talking about that on Wednesday before the Blue Jays defeated the Cleveland Indians 3-2 at the Rogers Centre, using -- ta-da --pitching and defence. Pitching and defence are a big deal. Always have been.
