Nothing has come easy lately for Roy Halladay with win No. 17 proving to be particularly elusive.
The Toronto Blue Jays ace was in position to end a personal two-game losing skid Tuesday after striking out a season-high nine batters over seven dominant innings, but Jeremy Accardo blew it in a big way in the eighth inning of a 7-2 loss to the Cleveland Indians.
Taking over from Scott Downs with one out, nobody on and a 2-1 lead, Accardo (1-1) gave up the tying run on a fielder's choice to Casey Blake as Ryan Garko, who had earlier doubled, beat the pitcher's throw to the plate.
