CLEVELAND -- The Boston Red Sox have an excuse, in the form of a crippling series of injuries. But what about the Toronto Blue Jays?
What excuses do they have for limping into Fenway Park with second place in the American League East (booby prize that it is) on the line?
Jhonny Peralta's home run on a 2-1 pitch from B.J. Ryan, 1-2, with two out in the 10th inning lifted the Cleveland Indians to a 3-2 win and a sweep of their three-game series at Jacobs Field.
The Blue Jays took a chartered flight to Boston after the game and will open a four-game series tonight against the Red Sox.
