With one year left on the five-year personal services contract he signed with the Astros in 2004, Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan said he is intrigued by the vacant presidency position with the Texas Rangers.
Ryan finished his 27-year playing career in Arlington, and the all-time strikeout leader has a strong relationship with Rangers owner Tom Hicks.
"I think from a baseball perspective, everybody would like to be involved in putting a ballclub together, so I think obviously from my perspective there would be some attraction to that," Ryan said Monday during the first day of the Nolan Ryan and Jeff Bagwell Elite Pitchers and Hitters camp at Minute Maid Park.
