Texas Rangers: Kevin Millwood, RHP (7-9, 5.95)

Millwood is 3-2 with a 3.86 ERA in six starts in July even though he lost to the Kansas City Royals, 6-5, on Saturday and pitched just 22/3 innings, his shortest outing of the season. He is 2-6 with a 5.83 ERA in 11 starts on the road. Opponents are hitting .304 off him, including .325 with runners in scoring position. They are 10-for-21 off him with the bases loaded. He is 1-3 with a 6.42 ERA in six career starts against the Blue Jays.

Toronto Blue Jays: Roy Halladay, RHP (11-5, 4.04)

On Saturday, Halladay matched zeros with White Sox lefty Mark Buehrle for six innings before Toronto's ace slipped in the seventh. Halladay allowed a two-run homer -- one of 10 hits -- to go along with seven strikeouts in the eight-inning, 2-0 defeat. Halladay also saw a streak of 21 straight scoreless innings snapped in the loss. He went 2-2 with a 3.38 ERA in July and is 5-5with a 5.85 ERA in his career against Texas.

Texas Rangers: Kameron Loe, RHP (5-9, 5.80)

Loe lost to the Royals, 10-0, on Sunday, allowing six runs in 51/3 innings. He is now 0-3 with a 6.08 ERA in his last five starts but is 4-3 with a 3.98 ERA in his last nine starts. He started against Toronto on May 6 and allowed one run in 62/3 innings. He was not involved in the decision in the Rangers 3-2 victory. Combined with three relief appearances, Loe is now 1-0 with an 0.98 ERA in his four career appearances against the Blue Jays.

Toronto Blue Jays: Shaun Marcum, RHP (7-4, 3.67)

On Sunday, Marcum opened an outing with six scoreless innings for the seventh time in 15 starts. The right-hander turned in eight innings in a win over the White Sox, who whiffed eight times and managed only one run on two hits against Marcum. He improved to 6-2with a 3.24 ERA as a starter and finished July 3-2 with a 4.75 in six appearances. Marcum is 0-0 with a 4.50 ERA in his career against Texas.

Texas Rangers: Brandon McCarthy, RHP (5-7, 5.18)

McCarthy picked up his first win since May 20 in his last start, going 6 2/3 innings and allowing one run on four hits against Cleveland. He threw just 90 pitches in what was his longest outing of the season. McCarthy is 1-1 with a 6.00 ERA in two starts against Toronto this season. In his career against the Blue Jays, McCarthy has a 4.50 ERA while holding them to a .216 batting average.

Toronto Blue Jays: Dustin McGowan, RHP (7-5, 4.36)

McGowan walked away with a no-decision in his last outing after Toronto's bullpen was unable to hold the lead. The right-hander was in line for the victory when he exited the Monday start against the Devil Rays, who managed only two runs on four hits off McGowan. The righty finished July 3-1 with a 2.78 ERA and has gone 2-0 with a 1.78 ERA over his last three starts. McGowan is 0-0 with a 1.80 ERA in his career against the Rangers.
