Default Lofton Traded

Lofton sent back to the Indians for catcher Max Ramirez.

Yeah, I just saw that. Um, we got Ramirez who I believe played in the Futures Game the other day if I'm not mistaking. He has had great numbers this year and he's another good addition to probably the strongest part in the Rangers organization, catching.

Not a bad deal for neither team. No offense to Lofton, but I don't think he would factor in us winning a pennant this year. I don't think any one player could do that for us. To be able to part with him (He was only here for this year), and be able to get a young catcher with the upside of Max Ramirez was a definite plus. I see us moving Ramirez to a position such as Third Base before we had him catch. Especially if we acquire Salty. We have the depth at Catcher to move guys around and experiment. But you can never have too many Catchers in your organization. Nice trade.
