Default Texas Rangers Baseball: Proof that there is no God

Reasons why the Rangers Lose

The Starting Pitching (or lack there of)
Michael Young's bad marathon (it has become more than a run) of luck
Slumps, Gerald Laird seems to be in one permanetly

MORE TO BE ADDED

I'm glad you can state the obvious! It doesn't take too much to tell that the Rangers don't have pitching and quite frankly, they haven't for the past few years. Think of the names that have went through Arlington and were supposed to be people we could "depend" on. Rogers, Chan Ho Park, and now Millwood were/or are pitchers that were supposed to help lead this team out from last place. Has that happened, no. Yes I do realize the fact that none one of the Rangers starters have a winning record or an ERA underneath 6.00 and thats why we are struggling. Quite frankly, if you are a Rangers fan and can't admit we've never had pitching, then you're lying to yourself and everyone around you. So once again, congrats for stating the obvious!

I won't say much for Young as he isn't having a good year and really, it's sad because a year ago, he was putting up great numbers. He won the All-Star Game MVP and now, he is playing probably the worst ball of his career.

And as far as Laird is concerned, I've never really been a big fan of him to be honest. He's just never really impressed me and I think that despite the Rangers feeling he is their number one catcher, I don't think of him as that. I think Stewart shoudld be looked at a little more, but that's just me.

Default Where's the Youth?

I don't believe that its farfetched to say that the Texas Rangers are out of contention. That being the case, why am I not seeing more of the farm system?

I look down, and I see very capable, major league level talent.

Jason Botts?
Travis Metcalf?
Kevin Mahar?

I'm sick and tired of watching Lofton and Sosa produce subsuficiently. Lofton is hitting a very pedestrian .264, while Sammy is hitting a measly .249.

Wheres my DVD, anyway?
