Rays Caravan visits Orlando Friday, Feb. 16 and Saturday, Sat. Feb 17
ST. PETERSBURG -- The Tampa Bay Devil Rays Annual Winter Caravan concludes with a two-day stop in Orlando this weekend to promote the May 15-17 series against the Texas Rangers at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex. The Rays will be in downtown Orlando on Friday, Feb. 16, passing out hot dogs and other ballpark fare during lunch hour in front of the Orange County Regional History Center. Rays will also make a stop at the ESPN Club on the Boardwalk at Disney from 4-7 p.m. The visit will close with an autograph signing at Mall at Millenia on Saturday, Feb. 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Saturday's autograph signing will include Senior Advisor Don Zimmer, players Akinori Iwamura, Ty Wigginton, Delmon Young and Greg Norton, broadcasters Dewayne Staats and Joe Magrane and the team mascot "Raymond."
Tickets for the Rangers series will go on sale Saturday at the Ticketmaster outlet in the FYE store at Mall at the Millenia.
The 2007 Rays Caravan has also made stops in Brooksville, Lakeland, Port Charlotte, Tampa, St. Petersburg and Manatee County.
In 10 years, the Rays Caravan has made more than 220 stops throughout the Tampa Bay area visiting schools, hospitals, and youth centers.
