Matt Morris, still looking like he spent Spring Training in Barrel, Alaska, was better than could possibly have been expected yesterday. His curveball was huge, his slider was established early, and his fastball was... well, his fastball still is stuck in first gear. It's not certain whether or not he'll ever throw 94 regularly again, but as long as he can hit 91 with the breaking pitches he was throwing yesterday he should be one of the best back-of-the-rotation starters in baseball...
