Molina, who won his first Gold Glove this past winter, is in line for another first this summer. He leads National League catchers in All-Star voting, with 451,368 ballots cast, meaning he has a chance to start the Midsummer Classic in his home ballpark, Busch Stadium.
Of course, Molina isn't the only Cardinals player in first place in the first round of voting results. His friend and teammate, Albert Pujols, has 842,058 votes and ranks atop the balloting among National League first basemen -- and leads all National Leaguers -- heading a formidable group that also includes Prince Fielder, Ryan Howard, Carlos Delgado and Lance Berkman.
Other Cardinals in the mix include Skip Schumaker (fourth among second basemen, with 223,197 votes), Ryan Ludwick (eighth among outfielders, 348,768), Rick Ankiel (ninth among outfielders, 331,412) and Chris Duncan (15th among outfielders, 206,058).
